Why proximity still matters — and where it doesn't
Family files involve meetings at emotional moments, document drop-offs and the occasional urgent signature — a nearby office genuinely helps. But since Ontario family courts moved much procedure online, the lawyer's postal code matters far less than their familiarity with the court your matter sits in and their availability to you.
The practical sweet spot: an office you can reach within a reasonable drive, with video meetings for everything that does not need a table.
Serving Peel, Halton and beyond
Our office at 25 Watline Avenue sits just off Hurontario Street in central Mississauga — minutes from Highway 403, straightforward from Brampton via Highway 410 and from Oakville and Milton via the QEW and 407. Family matters across Peel and Halton are heard mainly in Brampton and Milton courthouses, both of which our family practice appears in regularly.
Evening availability until 7:00 PM on weekdays means consultations after work, and Google Meet covers everything else.
