Sabeeya Akram

Sabeeya Akram is one of the owners of Ayoun Law. Her practice areas include family law and civil litigation.

Sabeeya's interest in the law began with her parents' work assisting disadvantaged young girls, and she has volunteered and mentored from a young age — including mentor talks for young women before law school and mentorship opportunities at the firm today.

She started her career in matters surrounding medical negligence, where she was chief editor of an Ontario-wide study, The Art in Medicine — Treatment Decision-Making, published by McMaster University, and successfully advocated for policy change with local Members of Parliament and Members of Provincial Parliament.

After becoming a mother, her focus shifted to family matters. She understands the emotional investment a family represents and fights for her clients' legal interests by genuinely understanding the position they are in.

On her free days Sabeeya loves hiking with her daughter, canoeing, studying microeconomics and surprising her family with vacations.
